Selfridges Summer Beauty Box

I must not buy more beauty boxes, I must not buy more beauty boxes. Oh, look! There’s a new Selfridges Summer Beauty Box… Maybe I’ll treat myself to one. Oops.

When I purchased my last box, I swore to myself that I’d never go back, but you know me… I’m a fickle so and so, and I have a feeling we often have this conversation! I simply can’t resist a good deal and clearly need more products in my life, when I literally have no more space to put things. This girl needs help.

Having restrained myself for a whole month (I’ve got another fab box to tell you about soon), I decided to purchase the Selfridges Summer Box, which I picked up from the store on Saturday. It’s a pretty hefty package, and for a change, I’m likely to use every single one of the products. I’m particularly excited to try out the Zoeva Crease Brush, The First Aid Beauty Mist, and the Illamasqua Sketch Stick, which I received in the colour Fly.

It’s not quite such a good deal as the one back in 2012, which came in at £15 for £140 worth of products, but still, at £35 for £159 worth of products, it’s pretty good. These things usually sell out fast, so grab yours now if you want one.

Easter Eggs Galore

I generally don’t eat Cadbury’s chocolate, and it wasn’t until the other night that I had a bar for the first time in years. Last week I asked Alex if he could buy me an Oreo Cadbury chocolate bar because I was curious, but alas they had sold out and he came back with a massive bar of the normal sickly sweet stuff. Of course,  I ate it anyway!

I guess the reason Cadbury has been on my mind lately is because of the Egg’n’Spoon double chocolate mousse eggs that have been advertised on TV for Easter. It seems they are impossible to get anywhere so I’m yet to test them out, but I should be heading to Selfridges this weekend and  it appears they currently have some in stock (well on their website at least). I absolutely love going to Selfridges at Easter time, so this is the perfect excuse!

I’m usually more of a dark/expensive chocolate kinda gal – I don’t eat loads of it, but if it’s there I certainly don’t say no. If there’s one time of the year that eating chocolate by the truckloads is acceptable, then it has to be Easter. I’ve had my beady eye on quite a few eggs that are out there this week, so here’s a pick of my favourites…

Where do you usually buy your Easter eggs? Any Favourites?

Ciaté Sequin Manicure Kit

This is what happens when you open a Ciaté Sequin Manicure Kit with a little puppy on your lap…

This is what happens when you apply it to your nails – After you have cleaned up the mess!

I was in a bit of a grump this morning, so when this Ciaté “Harlequin” Sequin Manicure Kit turned up in the post I decided to take some time out and add a touch of sparkle to my day. It’s remarkably simple to apply and looks fab! Certainly cheered me up and who cares about the sequin spillage? I’d love a bit of glitter around my work space, at all times of the year!

It’s almost the festive season, so why not add a touch of  excitement to your nails… Or maybe buy it as a little stocking filler for someone you love.

The Ciaté Sequin Manicure Kits come in 3 different colour blends and are £14 at Selfridges

*I received this item as a PR sample, but really do love it. Not one word of a lie!

Selfridges Beauty Box

I gave up on beauty boxes some time ago, simply because I wasn’t able to use the amount of products that I was receiving and I was kind of running out of storage space for all the boxes! However, when I saw Selfridges were offering a one off box, I couldn’t resist getting my hands on one. Selfridges is one of my favourite London stores and the Selfridges beauty box they were offering was pretty decent value at £15 for around £140 worth of products – All of which I could find good use for.

The demand for these boxes was exceptionally high and as with most good offers these days, the site kept crashing on the morning of their release. Three days after my purchase I was sent an email from Selfridges, saying that I’d actually just missed out on the box, but not to worry as an alternative box was being sent out, which would include most of the same items, but would take a little longer. We were promised our box by the first week of September and would receive a postage refund. Fine by me. I was just happy to be getting one.

I finally got my box yesterday after a lot of rather unsatisfactory customer service from the store (I won’t bore you with all the details, but I expected a lot more from a high end store – Tut tut)! Anyway, I have it now and what a bargain – I’m loving oils and serums on my skin right now and I expect to look 10 years younger once I’ve used this little lot up! *DREAMS*
