Step By Step

This week is all about setting myself three goals and sticking to them. I’ve been particularly useless at keeping healthy lately, so have decided the only way to get back on track is to set myself three challenges a week and stick by them. Step by step.

This week I plan to…

1: Drink five to eight glasses of water a day – I know the eight glasses a day thing is a bit of a myth, but my intake rarely comes close to two, so I’m going to try and improve on that this week. I’ll aim for eight, but realistically five will be what I achieve, and that’s OK. The trouble I have with drinking water is that it needs to be sipped… I’d get through more if I were allowed to gulp it all down in one go. So. Many. Rules!

2: Use the treadmill daily for twenty five minutes – It may not seem like much, but I truly am the worlds most unfit person at the moment… I’m not going to push it because I’d rather do some and not just sit there dreading doing more than I can motivate myself to do. Both Fat Cat and Betsy the Chihuahua are scared of the treadmill when it’s motion… Appears to runs in the family!

3:  Alcohol, snacks and bread (albeit wheat-free) are BANNED this week. I can eat anything else (in moderation), but if I touch any of those baddies, I shall be sending myself to the naughty corner.

OK, well let’s see how I do with these. I’m usually pretty good at sticking to things if I share them with someone else, so it’s lucky I’ll have you there to watch over me.
