I said I’d never dress my dog, but Betsy the Chihuahua is so small and shivery that she genuinely does need an extra layer in this cold winter weather. She regularly partakes in mud rolls (and sometimes poop!) in the park, so I’d rather she was wearing a coat or jumper, as that’s easier to wash than Betsy herself. She’s not really a fan of the shower and especially hates my super powered hair dryer!
If you are going to dress a dog, then you certainly must do it well. There are endless accessories and clothes online, with stores like American Apparel now in on the pet clothing game. There’s big money in pets, and I seem to be one of the suckers that’s splashing my cash! Betsy is certainly one spoilt little dog (child substitute), but she is a luckily a pretty level-headed pet, due to her strict puppy school training. Alex and her have been smashing it in all the puppy school competitions – The competitive team that they are!
Anyway, here are a few of my favourite dog winter warmers – Including some festive woolies, naturally…
