Selfridges Beauty Buyer’s Top Five Party Season Essentials

With busy days and longer nights, a hectic festive schedule really put our beauty products to the test. We don’t want to lug around our whole make-up case, but we need to cover all the bases. With this in mind, we’ve begged our beauty buyer to share her infinite knowledge (and unquestionable wisdom) with us. So here it is – her top five party season essentials.

1. CLARINS

Beauty flash balm

“This is cult favourite for a reason. Not only does it eliminate all signs of fatigue, it provides the perfect base for long lasting, luminous make–up. An essential treatment before a busy day or an evening out.”

2. BOBBI BROWN

Caviar & Oyster Collection eye palette

‘Every year Bobbi Brown outdoes itself with the prettiest eyeshadow palettes around. I love the mix of colours in this Caviar & Oyster palette – eyes can be strong and smokey or soft and pretty depending on your mood.”

3. CHANEL

LE VERNIS Nail Colour

“When your nail colour needs to work for the boardroom and the bar, it’s best to keep it classic. Chanel’s Le Vernis in Suspicious is the perfect shade of red to see you through the day in style.”

4. ORIGINS

No Puffery™ Cooling Eye Mask

“Don’t let tired eyes give you away. This cooling eye mask is the perfect post-party pick-me-up. I keep mine in the fridge.”

5. TOM FORD

Ultra Shine Lip Gloss

“This high gloss shine and intense colour will add instant glamour to your look. Oh and I just love the packaging.”

I have the Beauty Balm….i’m not that fussed with it-not sure what it actually does for my skin. Currently using as a moisturizer since i’m out of my normal and moving this week so don’t want to buy new stuff. I’d give you mine if I was already in London :)
