Mycoal Hand And Foot Warmers

I’m pretty busy with work this week, but thought I should make time for a quick post about something that kept me in a much cheerier mood on Saturday night at work. For those of you that don’t know, I can often be found standing in a warehouse tunnel taking payments from clubbers, who attend the nights that I do some PR for. I do it for the much needed extra cash and if I had the choice, I would most probably stay as far from there as possible in the winter months… I’d be more than happy enough to go inside (these parties are pretty damned good), but freezing my toes off in below zero degrees for eight hours, is not much fun at all!

Anyway (moan moan), I knew the weather was going to be pretty nippy over the weekend, so I decided to purchase some Mycoal hand and foot warmers to test out. You just open up the packs, give them a bit of a jiggle and a squeeze and stick them in your boots or gloves for almost instant heat. Did they work?…

Hell YES!

As predicted, there was a pretty arctic chill in the air, so I stuffed a couple of these puppies in my gloves and one pair in my boots. I don’t think that the foot warmers work as well as the hand warmers, but I’m guessing this is because they are a slightly thinner pad. Unless you are wearing wellies, bigger pads might be a  bit of a squeeze.  However, I usually come away with frozen toes that tend to reach an extremely painful defrost in the car on the way home – There was none of that pain this weekend and my toes certainly didn’t feel as cold as usual.

The Mycoal hand warmers… Well, they are pretty epic! I had to keep taking my gloves off when dealing with the customers, but in between these things generated an amazingly warm temperature. They come in quite a fat pouch, so there is nothing glamourous about them, but if you don’t own skin tight gloves and need to warm up, these things will save the day! I guess you could pop them in your pockets instead. They last for seven hours and I only tested them out for about five, but they were still going strong when I left for home, so I passed them onto one of the security men for the last few hours of his shift.

So, there you have it. One happy bunny here, with a slightly more bearable night at work. I see that you can get body warmers too… Next time you see me, I’ll probably have the lot hidden all over me!

*Note to Self – Move to a warmer climate*

I give Mycoal Hand Warmers 9/10
I give Mycoal Foot Warmers 6/10
